Review: Eclipse Soundtrack

The Eclipse Soundtrack. It's a terrific soundtrack. Most of the songs on this soundtrack has this hard ass vibe that makes you want to throw on your leather jacket and throw your fist in the air, and take advantage of your youth. It has upbeat songs you'd just want to get up and dance to, music you'd want to listen to while sharing an intimate moment with a loved one, and music you'd simply want to cry to. The soundtrack has so many emotions thrown at you. The melodies and lyrics engulfs you and takes over you, and before you know it, you're sitting there wondering what you just did for the last hour and a half. I get a lost feeling -sometimes also a yearning- while listening to one of the songs off the album, and the feeling lingers until many hours later.

For a dancing song, I'd go with "Ours" by The Bravery. From the beginning to the end, the song gives you the influence of wanting to go out and get high off the idea that you're young and you're entitled to go party hard & make the best of it. The opening lyrics, "After tonight, who knows where we'll be tomorrow/What if we're never here again?" gets your attention quickly, and the songs lets you know that this time is OURS.

"Let's Get Lost" by Beck and the Bat for Lashes. The song that makes me want to take my lover by the hand and runaway. It influences you to come up with so many ideas and fantasies in your head. To just have a good time.

The song "My Love" by Sia is moving, touching, and always makes my heart heavy. The metronome that takes its time for the lyrics to seep in your thoughts... the way she sings it. I can't decipher the words due to her very loose pronunciation, and these qualities are what makes this song one of the best love songs I've heard in a long time. I always feel like I should be crying when this song comes on, just because I'm a sucker for love.

If you haven't heard the soundtrack yet, you should really change that. Even if you're not into the Twilight scene, these songs will move you. Isn't that a wonder? :)

a tad relieved

Ah, yes.
I feel a little bit kick ass.
I, Darriea Breejea, took a little pride from my last post, Procrastination. I wanted to own up to my words & ranting, so I actually did my math. And I hit three different sections. Yes, I was motivated. :D
